Kim Klieber

Kleiber

Kimberly Klieber was a half-blood witch, the first child and daughter in her family, and one of the most famous witches of modern times. Voldemort attempted to murder her when she was a year and three months old, shortly after murdering Kim's parents as they tried to protect her. One consequence of her mother's protection is that her orphaned daughter had to be raised by her only remaining blood relative, Petunia Dursley, where she was neither welcomed nor nurtured, but would stay alive, at least until she was seventeen years old. As the only known survivor of the Killing Curse up to that point, Kim was already famous before she arrived at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She began attending Hogwarts and was Sorted into Gryffindor house. Kim played a significant role in many other battles of the Wizarding War and hunted down and destroyed Voldemort's Horcruxes with Ron and Hermione. Kim is also notable for being the only known Master of Death, having united the three Deathly Hallows.

George Grzywacz

George

Hey my name is George Grzywacz. I am currently a super senior pursuing a dual degree in Civil Engineering and Architecture. Most of my time is spent in the hockey rink playing goalie for the Varsity Ice Hockey team. Make sure you guys come out to our games, which are free for all students, on Friday nights at 8:00 pm at the Southfield Civic Center. When I’m not standing in front of fast moving objects, I enjoy watching scary movies and trying different foods.  I think the craziest thing I have tried in a while would have to be the PBB and J burger at Bagger Dave’s. The PBB and J stands for peanut butter, bacon, and jalapeno. All of this is piled on top of a turkey burger and it is probably one of the best burgers I have ever tried, go try it for yourself.  I also like to run, so you’ll probably see me huffing and puffing my way through campus. Feel free to wave or even join me in running. I am in the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and the Chi Epsilon honor society. We like to have a lot of fun and participate in a lot of volunteer work and philanthropy work. This past winter we jumped in the Detroit River to raise money for the Special Olympics. It was really cold, but for a great cause. If you want to find out more about this or anything that I talked about feel free to find me. I’ll be helping your mentor this whole semester. Go Blue Devils!

Alex Bryden

Bryden

I am a junior at Lawrence Tech who loves to be involved with campus activities and keeping busy! I am a member of the Women’s Varsity Soccer team and strive to support my fellow athletes by attending other Blue Devil sporting events. My competitive nature continues in the gym by participating in as many intramurals sports as possible. I am involved in a variety of other student organizations: Student Government, Society of Women Engineers, North Hall Council, and am the President of Kappa Beta Gamma. I also work on-campus for the Leadership Office, Admissions Office, and Student Disability Services Office. When I’m not attending campus activities, studying, or volunteering, I enjoy working out, sleeping, and of course, shopping. Meeting new people is one of my favorite things and I can’t to meet all of the new LTU students!

Joey Knoff

Knoff

I am currently a Junior in LTU's perfectly sized chemistry program. I am also a member of the Varsity Soccer Team and I'm crazy enough to play goalkeeper. This is going to be my second year in the first year mentor program, but my first year as a Team Leader! I am (unfortunately) related to all the other Knoff's that have attended Lawrence Tech, but that isn't always such a bad thing! In my free time I enjoy playing soccer, laying in bed watching Netflix, and cooking incredibly good meals for myself, just so I can make my roommates (especially Jay Redman) incredibly jealous. This past summer I spent 3 weeks in the UK and I got to go to Dublin, Ireland, where I got to take a tour of the original Guinness Brewery, and London, England, where I got a VIP tour of parliament! I'm incredibly excited for the fall semester, and can't wait for Discovery Days! Go Blue Devils!!

A little bit about myself is that I am 23 and a big Detroit Tiger fan. I have moved 9 times and lived in 4 different states. Since high school I have always helped people through life issues ranging from relationship troubles to just someone to vent to. I have always enjoyed helping people because it helps me learn a little more about myself each time. Life will always try to trip and knock you down but how you catch yourself each time is how you learn.
