As a full-time associate professor of management at Lawrence Technological University, Dr. Castelli enjoys coaching and developing future leaders. Dr. Castelli’s approach is “hands-on” and practical. Known for her motivational appeal, her forte is helping professionals and managers develop critical people skills often overlooked yet essential for leadership success. In addition, Dr. Castelli has master facilitation skills and a personable, charismatic style that promotes key learnings in creative and engaging ways.

Dr. Castelli serves as associate professor and has been with Lawrence Tech, College of Management since 1995. Dr. Castelli enjoys supervising doctoral candidates with their dissertation research in a variety of leadership topics.  Prior to her full-time academic appointment in 2000 she had been an adjunct professor at Lawrence Tech and also served as academic advisor and adjunct professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Selfridge ANGB, Michigan. As a management consultant, Dr. Castelli works with Fortune 500 companies training and developing the skills of leaders and managers.

Research Agenda 

Dr. Castelli’s research is extensive in the area of leadership.  Specifically, she provides empirical evidence on concrete ways leaders can maximize the potential of their followers by using a variety of motivational techniques to raise their confidence and self-esteem levels.  In addition, Dr. Castelli’s research on reflective learning has furthered the efficacy of the academic community as well as Lawrence Tech faculty by providing a variety of instructional methods aimed at raising both the professional and personal value of the learning experience.

Dr. Castelli received her Ph.D. in Instructional Technology, a Division of Administrative and Organizational Studies, from Wayne State University College of Education and holds a Master of Business Administration from Lawrence Technological University.
