Engineering technologists work alongside heads of science and engineering research and develop products, prepare and conduct experiments, or make prototypes of newly designed equipment. In engineering technology, you’ll concentrate on the problem-solving, hands-on application of science and technology. Your professors will give you a firm foundation in science and engineering and the opportunity to work on industry-sponsored projects with local firms. You’ll also develop your own projects in an environment of entrepreneurship and innovation.
