Vectors and Oblique Triangles
Understand vectors and be able to combine them graphically and by adding their components. Find the components of a vector and be able to solve oblique triangles using the law of sines and cosines. This unit should take no more than 2 weeks to complete.

Method of Evaluation
The unit test will be a pencil and paper exam given at your class site. The test will be administered by the instructor or by a proctor. Please see the course schedule for the exact time and date of the unit test.
Understand vectors, v, which have magnitude, |v|, and direction, . Be able to find the sum, difference, or scalar multiple of a vector graphically.
Given a vector, be able to find its components.
Find the resultant vector from its components.
Be able to work problems involving applications of vectors.
Use law of sines to find sides or angles in an oblique triangle.
Use law of cosines to find sides or angles in an oblique triangle.
