Students and Guests
All students planning to attend Commencement must fill out the Commencement RSVP & Ticket Request Form (will be available once ticket distribution dates for 2015 are determined- usually in March/April) and present it in person* during one of the ticket distribution dates. Ticket distribution dates will be announced, but are typically in the end of March/early April only.
*If you live a great distance away or out of state and are unable to pick up the tickets in person, please send the Ticket Order Form to firstname.lastname@example.org. We can either mail the tickets to you, or you can designate someone to pick up the tickets on your behalf. However, please note that lost or stolen tickets cannot be replaced.
Commencement tickets are limited, and are required for both the graduating student and their guests. Each student will be allotted 6 guest tickets, in addition to their own student ticket.
In order to be eligible for tickets, students must petition to graduate prior to the time of pick up. Students who petition after the deadline are not guaranteed Commencement tickets. Late petitioners will only be able to secure tickets once they are opened up to the general community, if some are still available. Students without tickets will not be allowed to participate in Commencement. Guests without tickets will not be admitted into the arena. Seating for all guests is general admission and on a first come, first choice basis. Guests must be seated by 12:30pm. Seat saving will not be allowed. Lost or stolen tickets cannot be replaced.
Any tickets unclaimed after the final distribution day will be forfeited.
EXTRA TICKETS: If you need extra guest tickets, they will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, beginning on TBA. There is no limit on the number of guest tickets you can receive.
All faculty members participating in Commencement must have a ceremony ticket and MUST RSVP in order to receive one. If the faculty owns their own regalia, tickets will be made available in their Dean's Office. If they need to rent regalia, the order will be placed on the RSVP form, and tickets will be available with the regalia when it comes in. The RSVP form is found on this page: https://www.ltu.edu/commencement/faculty.asp.
Parking: There will be plenty of free parking for everyone. GRADUATES will receive parking passes (will be handed out as soon as they are available), and FACULTY will receive parking passes. GUESTS will be directed to park in the remaining spaces. A complimentary shuttle will operate before and after the ceremony between the parking lots. Signs will designate shuttle pickup and drop off points.
