Our office offers a range of services to help you throughout your career journey. We promote career development by providing you with the tools to make effective career-planning decisions. Whether you need assistance with choosing a major/career, writing  a resume, conducting a job search, securing a co-op/internship/first professional job, or transitioning to a new career, we are here to help.

Our staff can assist you in discovering your career interests and determine the next steps to success.  Our staff is here and committed to helping you make effective career and life planning choices.

On-line career assessments are available to help you interpret how your personality, interests, values, and abilities relate to various occupations.  There is no charge for this service.

Schedule an appointment today with Career Services at 248-204-3140 or visit us in the A. Alfred Taubman Student Services Center (C404) if you are interested in completing an on-line assessment.  Let our professional staff determine the appropriateness of the instrument and discuss your results. 
Job Search & Consultation

Current studies show an average working professional may change positions as many as seven times. Each time a job search is conducted, extensive preparation and many hours of dedicated time are required to find just the right position. The Office of Career Services at Lawrence Technological University is available to help you meet the challenges of a job search in the current changing economy.

Alumni are also welcome to schedule an appointment with our professional career development staff members for a Job Search Consultation. We will provide a resume critique, review current interviewing techniques, discuss job search tactics and recommend resources for further assistance. 

Additional alumni services include access to Lawrence Tech Career Fairs and Alumni Career Networking Receptions. Dates and schedules for these events are posted under 'Events' in CareerQuest, as well as on the Office of Career Services web page.

The Office of Career Services offers a wide range of services for Employers. 

Job posting services are available through our online resource CareerQuest. CareerQuest utilizes NaceLINK software, so you can use your existing NaceLINK login to post opportunities, conduct on-campus recruiting and register for career fairs. 

Other important services, include On-Campus Interviews (OCR), Career Fairs, Resume Referrals, Information Sessions, and Alumni Networking Receptions, are available by contacting our offices at 248-204-3140, or ltuocs@ltu.edu.

Resume Critiques

Stop by the Office of Career Services Friday mornings from 10am-11:30am for a short 5-10 minute resume critique. Bring a printed copy with you and any questions you have. We look forward to helping you in your career endeavors!
