The Safety Department keeps a 24-hour log of major and minor events that occurred or have been reported to occur on campus. The information on the Incident Log is available for viewing by the University population.
The LTU Campus Safety Department documents specific events that have occurred or are reported to have occurred on the campus via the use of an Incident Report. Incident Reports are impartial statements of facts in evidence or are statements that are alleged by a complainant. Examples of the types of reports are personal injury and property damage accidents, work place accidents, medical assistance, service requests, vandalism, miscellaneous destruction of property, crimes against persons, crimes against property, and suspicious circumstances, persons or events.

Automobile Collision Reporting
The Campus Safety Department documents automobile collisions and reports of automobile collisions via an Incident Report. It is strongly recommended that the party or parties report the collision to the Southfield Police Department, most insurance companies will require a police report. The Southfield Police Department’s address is 26000 Evergreen Road, Southfield, MI 48076 248-796-5500. They are located on Evergreen Road between 11 Mile and 10 Mile roads at the corners of Evergreen Road and Civic Center Drive.
