academic achievement center avoiding academic dishonesty

For faculty, educating students about academic integrity takes both individual and collective effort. For students, understanding what constitutes academic integrity can be difficult and confusing. A clear, consistent institutional policy toward plagiarism is essential to promoting a culture of academic integrity. Lawrence Tech's policy is outlined in the Academic Honor Code, with which all Lawrence Tech students and faculty should be familiar.

The AAC staff has put together several resources on academic integrity to help Lawrence Tech students, staff, and faculty understand why students sometimes plagiarize and how to prevent it. Please feel free to download and share these handouts. If you have suggestions for how to make these resources better, contact the Academic Achievement Center 248.204.4120 or email aac@ltu.edu.
